Why do I file a FAFSA?
As a parent, you must provide some information to your student’s FAFSA in order for them to receive federal aid, even if you do not have the ability to contribute to the cost of schooling.

Yes. The FAFSA needs to be filed every year that your student is in school. This will only change if your student gets married, has a child, or turns 24 years old.

The FAFSA form will ask you what your current martial status is as of filing, and the form will prompt you to input your income accordingly.
